Possible first sighting at the Green Dragon: A wiry man wearing magnifying lenses (and an orange vest?) makes adjustments to a clockwork toy as his food grows cold. Various mechanical toys and tops move on the table in front of him. With recent attacks on local caravans, merchants have been more interested in hiring guards than tinkers or even medics. His contraptions appear impressive but he admits with a sigh that they need constant adjustment, so sales have been slow.

Background: “My family have been tinkers for as long as anyone can reckon. I know I can fix just about anything made of metal or wood. I’ve spent some time with the caravan barber surgeons, too, so I know a thing or two about patching up people and animals. I’m not too bad with a bow either. I figure if I can hit a rabbit at forty paces, I stand a shot at hitting anything bigger or slower.”

Regarding his vow against graverobbing (minor hindrance): “Just don’t ask me to rob no graves with you. I was born Silas Vec. My granpappy shortened his name to Vec on account of all the folks digging up the graves of our relatives. Vecna is a real common family name throughout the Flanaess. You’d think folks would’ve figured that out a long time ago.”
